Dear Hyster Home Members,As much as I love Hyster Home and all of you ladies, the time has come for me to retire from active administration of this site. It has been more than 6 yrs since my hysterectomy, and with my youngest child going to college in the fall, I feel that the timing is perfect for me to transition into some other venture(s). I have decided to set a deadline of June 1st, so that I can spend the summer with my daughter before she goes off to college. My plan at this time is to leave Hyster Home intact, but closed to new posting. I will retain any funds left from past and future donations to maintain the message board and domain as a resource.
In order to look out for you ladies so you won't be left without support when the boards are closed to new posts, I plan to research the internet and look for another small friendly site like Hyster Home to link our current members to. If you know of such a site and would like to suggest it, please do so by private email. If one of you would be interested in building a site please let me know also by emailing me privately, so that I can take it into consideration when deciding where to link to. If you have any questions or you think you might want to try to build a site, please contact me as soon as possible, because I would like to make the decision of which site or sites we are linking to by May 1st. Only sites that I feel meet or exceed the standards set by Hyster Home will be be included in the links.
On a personal note: I have been giving Hysterectomy support in one form or another for the past 5-6yrs. Hyster Home has been going strong for approx 2 1/2 yrs. Before I created Hyster Home, I was co admin of another group at ezboard . I did that for little less than a year. Shortly after my hysterecomy I gave support at another site, in a hormone forum.
I have given my decision to retire considerable thought over the past few months, and am certain that it is the right thing for me to do. I am excited at the possibility of involving myself in new volunteer activities. I have always been interested in Habitat for Humanity, so I plan on looking into that. In addition to that, I have always wanted to start a pet sitting business, and now I will have the time to pursue it. Besides spending the summer doing things with my daughter before she goes off to college, I have a few plans for my gardens.
If anyone has any questions or suggestions, please feel free to contact me by email at Becky2259@hysterhome.com

Now its time for you to take time for you and your family. Much earned time to relax and enjoy the smaller things in life is what you need to focus your time and energy on.

I too want to thank you for all of your support and hard work towards Hyster Home and the ladies. Your unselfish devotion, and medical knowledge has helped so many women who would other wise made unhealthy decisions.
I want to wish you all the best in the future. Next, I want to say Thank You for creating such a warm and friendly place where I could come and find some refuge from what I was about to experience and what I had been through. I never knew there was anything like this online and it's because of you that I am able to look at my surgery not as a necessary evil but as a life saving surgery and a blessing in disguise.
