I thought maybe someone else would. My aunt had breast cancer and had radiation treatment. She always said she kept bags of peas to put on the treatment spot. I just saw my gyn oncologist this past week and my particular follow-up care situation is being presented at the Tumor Board Conference this week. So next week I do follow-up again with the dr. and hear what the recommendations are. If they recommend radiation I will be sure to write you back. Nicki

You get the benefit of the whole tumor board! Lucky girl. I'd think that would get you really good treatment. I know that when my aunt first went, they did a huge area. Then she went a few years later and they did a pin point area! The advances are amazing! Keep us posted and I'll keep you in my thoughts a prayers! It depends on where your tumor/s are located and how often you will be receiving the treatments. The treatments are not bad..but some people had problems with the side affects..EX..fatigue..dry mouth..irritation on the site where readiation was administered(burns)..hair loss(in some cases) ..just to name a few. Both my parents received it for 6 weeks/5 days a week/35 treatments all together. It took my mom and dad about 2 weeks before they started having the side effects from the treatments..Let me know if I this helped you at all.. I hope this helps some.
