My father died on 1-19-06 at the age of 60 and ever since then I've been a wreck and in alot of pain. I've gone to the doctor and was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia/Chronic fatigue Syndrome along side with carpal tunnel syndrome, menopause, hypothyroidism, degenerative nerve problems, and a range of other stuff. I'm now on pain killers and muscle relaxers plus my thyroid, I have to take my son to a pulmonary doctor at chop due to his lungs sounding like a washing machine even when he is not sick. The doctor has him on all kinds of medicine for his allergies and asthma. I keep wishing that my bad luck will stop before anything else happens...

I hope your son is better as well. I still think you may have Lyme Disease. A lot of people are diagnosed with Fibromyalgia/CFS (I have Fibromyalgia as well) and they actually do have it but they also have Lyme. Did you ever get the Western Blot blood test done? Posts: 30 (02/22/06 10:53:56) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	actually they did test me for lyme disease and it did come back negative, the rheumatologist also told me that there is no need to come back to him unless something does show up later down the road too just deal witth the fibromyalgia with my family doctor. Which I was very shocked and confused to hear from a doctor that specializes in this area. I guess when he saw my insurance which was changed to an hmo he figured to not deal with it i don't know. But I found a doctor here in pa that deals with only fibro so maybe he will be able to help me.

I had a very bad experience with one as well! I am glad you found a good Doc that deals with just Fibro though and do wish you sccess with him.Not to "beat a dead horse" but I had 5 "false negatives" for Lyme. I had the Lyme for 5 yrs and my blood stopped showing antibodies. It took some antibiotic treatment (3 months worth) to shake the spirochetes out into the blood again. It might be worth it to ask the Fibro Doc if he is familiar with the Lyme/Fibro connection. PA is a very endemnic area! How is your son doing? Kathie SAH 10/26/05 I am not a medical professional.
