I replied "I thought that's what added to painfull intercourse..other than Endo" I dont know if my Stage 4 Endometreosis had anything to do with that?Can you get Endo on cervix? Or cause them to do this? Anyways...I replied to my Gyne "OK then Proceed" Deedee

I have been told....and as you probably are already aware, endometriosis starts when fragments or cells of the endometrium lining of the uterus are forced out of the openings of the uterus....which indeed could come through the cervix, or can seep thru any punctured or thin uterine walls .....they attach to other organs in your adbomen and grow sort of like cobwebs (for lack of a better analogy). So I can definitely see that endo can emerge through the cervix. LSH on OCT 31, 2003 for Fibroids, Polyps, Adenomyosis

But on that note, I did have part of it removed due to the scaring it had developed over the years w/ endo and cysts. SO I have the base portion that attaches to the vaginal vault (which also helps w/ preventing porlapsed vaginas). SO I kept is, but also had part of it removed. The poll woudlnt let me choose 2 answers to I just picked the one about keeping it. Actually, my back pain and TVH were separate issues, but the back pain could have been aggrevated by all my problems. I had already had laser surgery on the cervix, and with the extensive repairs I was having done, I decided to go ahead and just take it out. This way, I'd not have to chance having cervical cancer creeping up on me later. My path report showed no problems, but the doctor left it up to me.

Posts: 54 (01/30/06 20:28:19) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	My Dr. had planned to remove my uterus, cervix and tubes (tubes were coming out no matter what kind of surgery I chose to have), my original plan was to keep my ovaries, but the morning of surgery I decided to have them removed also. For me my hyster was a willing option. I could have had other procedures done, but I only wanted to go through it once so I chose the complete hyster. No regrets either. This is one happy woman now. At the hospital they respected this, although the surgeon would have suggested a LAVH. They had to work on getting my large fibroids out through the "keyholes" for 5 hours. So I am really very grateful to all the doctors who helped me!
