Oh my gosh I can imagine how worried you must be. I would have done the same thing calling the doctor so I guess all we can do is wait to see what he says. I hope it was nothing serious.

Hi again Kime's daughter...I am sorry I forgot your first name. I know it's hard to get kids to understand about these things. I bet your little one feels bad about it. How old are your kids ? Maybe if they had something to keep them busy and they felt they were helping it would be good. There might be some simple chores they could do that would keep them busy, or they could always keep busy drawing lovely pictures to keep grandma happy. You might try a new box of crayons or something like that to entice them. My kids are older now but I remember those days. I was a preschool teacher so I know first hand what it is like to keep kids busy. Also maybe if you pay a little more attention to them for awhile they will then be ok on their own. they are probably a little confused by the whole situation. Maybe when your Mom is feeling a little better and you are not so worried about her you could take the kids to McDonalds or one of those places with a play center while Grandma is resting. Or even to a play ground. That might help them release some of their energy.
I hope everything settles down for your Mom and it turns out to just be a little bump in the road to recovery. If you feel concerned though don't hesitate to bring her to the ER to have her checked out. It's always better to be safe than sorry hugs Becky in OHIO ![]() LAVH/BSO 10-99 www.hysterhome.com I am not a medical professional. My name is Brandy by the way, my kids are Kaleb who will we one on the 29th of this month and Josh, the one that fell on mama,is four and a half. The baby seems to think Nana is sick and tries to get her to pick him up so we sit side by side on the couch and let him love on her by my holding him and her giving hugs and kisses and he seems okay. Josh thinks this surgery is like the last one was and small. we let him see the bandage and he understood it was big. He has been a lot more careful today it really upset him that he hurt her. All he keeps saying is it was an accident, i feel bad for him, he stays with my mama a lot they have a very strong bond. By the way i do live with my mom.
As for getting the kids something to do we did go by them a ten foot long pool yesterday and they are spending a lot of time outside.I just hope that it is enough to keep us off of her nerves it seems to be helping even though she says we don't bother her . I start school in 6 days and i hope she will be okay while i am there from 8am till 12pm the plan was for her to keep josh and the baby to go to a baby sitter but i am thinking about sending josh to the sitter even though the idea was for josh to be able to go get the things she needs while i am gone so she doesn't have to get up so much. i don't know what to do . she wants me to let him stay with her but i don't want him to accidently hit her again. what do i do? |

Brandy,
I am sure Josh feels awful...I am sure you have reassured him that you know it was an accident....and I bet he is being a lot more careful. Why not wait until it gets closer to the time when you have to go to your class and see how things are between now and then. Maybe with the baby at the sitter and you at school Josh might feel like a little man and be very well behaved. I do not know your kids though so use your own judgement. I agree with Becky with waiting to see how your mom feels closer to you starting school. It really does depend on your son too, and how he behaves. My kids wouldn't be helpful just because they are very exhuberant and excited all the time. But each child is different and if he's mostly a good listener then maybe that would work. Only time will tell.
Keep us posted. Marlo
