Hi, my name is Becky and I am 30 years old. I was recently diagnosed with adenomyosis and my doctor, my husband and i have decided that a hysterectomy is the best option for me. My periods of bleeding last up to 35-40 days, with 10 days being a super short period. In the past 4 months, I have bled heavily for 8 of them (so far!)
So on 6/16, I am having a complete hysterectomy, removing my uterus and cervix. I wasn't sure that I was done having babies, since I was having infertility issues anyway, I doubt I would be using my uterus anymore anyway. I still feel the loss, though. I have two biologial children, a daughter 7, and another daughter who passed away 5 years ago as an infant. We also have an adopted son who is 13 months old.
I'm glad to have found this support group.
I'm gonna stop lookin' back and start movin' on
And learn how to face my fears
Love with all of my heart, make my mark
I wanna leave something here
